Govt. Degree College Chenani under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav and Its NSS unit Paryatana organized door to door campaign on Nasha Mukt Bharat. Volunteers of NSS unit actively participated in the program and aware the masses about the Tuberculosis (TB), a deadly disease. According to the report of WHO, about 10.6 million people fell ill because of TB in 2021. India notified more than 2.4 million TB cases in 2019. it continues to have the largest share of the global TB burden. India’s National TB Elimination Program is strengthened to meet the goal of ending TB epidemic in 2025. NSS volunteers cautious the local people about the TB disease and guided them that how to save ourselves from this communicable disease Principal of the college Dr. Anil Khajuria addressed the students and appreciated their efforts to aware the locals about the Tuberculosis.. The overall program was organized by Prof. Sunil Kumar (Program Officer of NSS unit), Dr. Ravi Kumar and Prof. Mohinder Singh Manhas.
